​A Summer Day in 8 Hues

​I find summer to be an incredibly vibrant time in the city, in a very literal sense.

​Flowers in the park, outfits for a night out, the tomatoes and blueberries and corn piled high on market tables. Even the sun itself gives us more during these months, be it the punishing white glare at midday, heating the pavement like an oven, or the warm, smoldering glow of the sunset glimpsed through an opening in the grid.

​Latitude 9 will impressionistically follow that changing light across a long, late-summer day, with a palette inevitably derived from the most abundant market of the year.

​This is the first dinner in our beautiful new home on the east side, so expect a correspondingly extravagant menu.
