​Get ready to lace up your hiking boots and catch up with old friends—it's time for the RU Alumni KZN Chapter Social Event! We’re taking things outdoors this year, so join us for a fresh-air adventure at the stunning Giba Gorge Mountain Bike Park. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking for a relaxed stroll, this is your chance to reconnect, swap stories, and soak up the natural beauty of Westmead.

​We’ll kick off the morning with a guided hike through lush trails, winding streams, and breathtaking views. Don’t worry if you’re not a hiking pro—this is all about enjoying the journey together, sharing a few laughs, and maybe even discovering a hidden waterfall or two. The R70 entry fee covers your conservation contribution and a knowledgeable guide to lead the way, so all you need to bring is your energy and a sense of adventure. Entry Fee needs to be paid in CASH on the day of the event.

​After the hike, stick around to catch up over coffee or a snack at the park’s café. There’s plenty of space to relax, chat, and relive those classic Rhodes moments. If you haven’t been to Giba Gorge before, you’re in for a treat—it’s a green oasis just outside the city, perfect for a Saturday morning escape.
