Who We Are & Why We’re Hosting This Event

Natalia and Beverly first met in 2013 during the rise of social media. At the time, Natalia was a UCLA student, and Beverly was a Social Media and Marketing professor. Their shared curiosity about the intersection of law and technology sparked a collaboration that has continued ever since.

During the pandemic, they were among the first women to explore the digital asset space. Beverly authored a book on the subject, while Natalia contributed a chapter focusing on digital assets and Intellectual Property. As the AI revolution emerged, Beverly’s book was republished with updates on AI, and Natalia added a chapter exploring legal applications of AI and IP.

Beverly serves on the Executive Board of Innovate@UCLA, and teaches AI and Business at UCLA. Natalia is a practicing lawyer in the AI, IP and Business field and one of the first attorneys to incorporate AI into her practice. Together, they are hosting this event to empower professionals to confidently start using AI, bridging the gap between technology and practical, real-world applications—without feeling overwhelmed.
