About Event

Many founders never run a real naming process, and a quick AI chat or "name generator" usually results in something soulless or unusable. This session walks through the process Arielle Jackson has used to name dozens of companies and products, so you're more likely to land on a name that works. What you'll learn:

  • Why to do positioning before naming

  • How to build a brief and run a namestorm

  • How to evaluate names before you commit

  • Trademark basics and when to bring in a lawyer

  • How to think about domains and TLDs

This session is presented by our partners .tech domains. You will be eligible to redeem a name & premium domain of your choice on .tech - valued up to $1M.

Speaker Bio: Arielle Jackson is the Head of Brand & Product Marketing at First Round Capital, where for over a decade she's helped hundreds of founders with positioning, naming, identity, and launch communications, often starting when all they have is an "imagine if." She pitch hits as an early marketer until First Round companies have their own, finding the right language to scale their stories. Arielle previously helped grow Gmail at Google, led launches at Square, and took the seed-stage startup Cover to over a million users before its acquisition by Twitter.
