Sharing Table - Inner Monsters
What this is

A small group gathers around a table to explore philosophical and psychological questions through food, guided reflection, and presence.

The evening unfolds slowly (around 4–5 hours)
Theme - Inner Monsters
There are parts of us we celebrate: the radiant, the capable, the kind.
And then there are the ones we exile.
The voice that says “not enough” or “too much.”
The part that overworks, overpleases, numbs, or withdraws.
We might call them monsters, but what if they are messengers?
At this Sharing Table, we turn toward these inner forces with curiosity.
Through food, guiding questions, and embodiment practices, we explore the parts of us that protect, warn, and wait to be understood.
About Sharing Table
Meaningful conversations often happen around a table. And yet, many of our conversations today can feel rushed and distracted. We crave depth and presence, but don’t always know how to create it.
Sharing Table creates a space where food becomes a medium for examining philosophical and psychological questions together.
Space & Practice
At the table, we are witnessed without advice.
Contradictions are allowed to exist without needing to be resolved. We are not here to fix each other, but to listen and respond with curiosity.
Each table begins with a theme. The questions and the food are shaped around it.
The structure is intentional and responsive. The pace adjusts. The depth is shaped by the people at the table.
Perspective
This evening is inspired by parts-based approaches (IFS, Richard Schwartz), nonviolent communication (Marshall Rosenberg), dialogical philosophy (Martin Buber), person-centered psychology (Carl Rogers), and somatic experiencing (Peter A. Levine).
These lenses share a premise: inner conflict reflects multiplicity, and multiplicity asks for dialogue. Sharing Table becomes a place to explore this multiplicity together.
