Led by experienced apiarist and storyteller, Kamiti, this course brings essential backyard theory. No boring textbooks here—just knowledge to help you start your journey into apiculture!
What we will cover:
The "Bee-ology": Understanding the Queen, the Workers, and how a colony functions as a superorganism due to their role in nature.
Beehive Setup & Management: How to light a smoker, use a hive tool, and choose the right protective gear.
Honey production: What a beekeeper actually does month-by-month and how to refine unprocessed honey!
Pest & Health Basics: How to keep your future bees happy, healthy, and safe from common enemies.
Who Can Attend?
This workshop is intentionally designed for absolute beginners. You don't need to own bees, and you don't need any prior experience!
What To Bring?
If you know you are allergic to bee-stings; bring your epipen.
Come in comfortable shoes and clothes.
