Launch of the Independent Consulting Report 2026
The PCA & Oaktree report is ready for launch!
On the occasion of Portfolio Careers in Asia’s third anniversary we decided to build a clearer picture of the independent work in our community: what work independents are doing, in what formats, with what fee arrangements, and with what types of clients.
In August we teamed up with research master Emma Eichbaum and her firm Oaktree Insights for the Independent Consulting Work Survey 2026 - to explore the experience of people who work independently, whether as fractional leaders, independent consultants, contractors, freelancers, advisors, or through a combination of part-time, interim and project-based roles. Essentially, types of paid work undertaken outside a single full-time employed role.
