Estela sits up a flight of stairs on the edge of Nolita at 47 East Houston Street, New York, NY 10012. Chef Ignacio Mattos opened it in 2013, and it grew into one of the most celebrated restaurants in the country, earning a Michelin star. The menu is modern American with Mediterranean leanings, built around shareable plates like the endive salad and beef tartare that have become New York classics. Dinner is served in a snug, low-lit dining room with a bustling bar.
