Aspire: Asian Women's Network
What does it take to help set interest rates for the entire UK economy?
Join Aspire for an evening with Clare Lombardelli, Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy at the Bank of England. Clare sits on the nine-member Monetary Policy Committee, whose decisions shape every mortgage, business loan and savings rate in the country. She was previously Chief Economist at the OECD and Chief Economic Adviser to HM Treasury.
Clare will speak candidly about how the Bank reads the economy and what it means for business and professional life in Scotland. Afterwards, there's time to meet the women in the room.
Thursday 3rd December · 6:00 - 8:00pm
Skypark, 8 Elliot Street, Glasgow G3 8EP (Level 1)
The conversation will be hosted by Mehvish Ashraf MRPharmS, NHS Non-Executive Director.
What's Aspire?
Aspire is our network for ambitious, diverse women in business and professional life. Every two months, we bring you into candid conversation with senior leaders from business, politics and public life, and with each other.
Expect a relaxed but serious room of business owners, corporate professionals and senior leaders, alongside students and early-career women getting a head start. Come on your own or bring a colleague. If you've never been, watch a highlight from our last event, to see what the room feels like.
Places are by approval, and we'll confirm yours by email. If your plans change, just let us know so your place can go to someone else. Representatives of public bodies need prior approval: info@asianbusinesschamber.scot
P.S. Many of you asked how to get in touch with Dr Farah Ahmed after our last Aspire. You can reach her here: https://www.drfarahahmed.co.uk/#contact
