About Event

UCalgary has been designated by Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and World Health Organization (WHO) as a Collaborating Centre for Research on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and the Appropriate Use of Antimicrobials. This designation recognizes UCalgary’s leadership in One Health and AMR research and its commitment to addressing one of the world’s most urgent health challenges related to the increasing problem of antimicrobial resistance.

This launch event celebrates Canada’s new role in the global AMR network and lays the foundation for impactful collaboration, innovation, and capacity building over the next four years.

The event is led by One Health at UCalgary, Drs. John Conly and Herman Barkema (Co-Directors of the Collaborating Centre), and CAN-AMR-Net. It is supported by the VPR, CSM, and UCVM.

We hope you can join us to celebrate! Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Registration is required.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
