We’re inviting academic trainees (Post-doc/PhD/MS/MBA/MD/JD/+) interested in building life science startups to apply with their projects or to join an existing team and bring additional skillsets.
Activator is available exclusively to current academics. Our hands-on program is designed to help prepare academic trainees launch their biotech startups by working with our global network of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry mentors. Teams who make it through our final round of interviews will have access to exclusive funding opportunities plus other perks and prizes.

What is the Activator?
The Activator is an equity-free educational programme that helps scientists evaluate and build groundbreaking life science companies from their research. We provide mentorship from experienced founders and biotech leaders, legal support on IP and spinning out, and much much more for FREE.
Who should apply?
We welcome applications both from Inventors and Contributors.
Inventors are those working on a new (bio)technology (either with a patent, some exciting results or a de-risked idea from your domain expertise) that will revolutionise human health. If you are working on a project with an environmental and climate centric focus, we have a dedicated Eco track!
Contributors are individuals interested in partnering with an inventor to strengthen the team, with the aim of spinning out/starting-up within a year. We are looking for individuals who can leverage their unique expertise in science, business and the clinic such as Msc/PhD, MBAs and Clinicians.
