This is the first edition of After the Credits, a film series built around what happens once the film ends. Connect with people in real life, as we discuss culturally relevant film.

Zeidler Hall, located inside the Citadel Theatre, Churchill Square, downtown Edmonton. LRT accessible.

This is a paid ticketed event.
Tickets are $15 plus a $5 handling fee, on sale from September 18 through the Citadel Box Office.

What to expect
Afternoon — youth matinee
1:30 PM - Doors open for the closed matinee.
2:00 PM - Enjoy the film. A closed screening for youth. Seats are arranged through partner community organizations, and made free by our sponsors.
3:15 PM - Conversation and connection after the credits, with director Cheryl Foggo.
4:00 PM - Venue closes between screenings. Box office reopens at 6:00 PM, with tickets available at the door.
Evening — public screening
6:00 PM - Doors open. Come early and grab some popcorn with a treat from our specialty vendors.
7:00 PM - Enjoy the film.
8:15 PM - Stay and talk. Chat with Vee moderates our panel featuring director Cheryl Foggo and Edmonton voices. Let's talk about what we just watched.
9:00 PM - Stick around and take photos with new friends.
9:30 PM - Evening ends. Continue your night downtown.

Why this film, and why now?
Because cowboy culture is for all. John Ware Reclaimed is Cheryl Foggo's National Film Board documentary about the Black rancher who helped build Alberta's ranching industry. His name is on a ridge, a creek and a school, and most Albertans couldn't tell you who he was. Screening this during Canadian Finals Rodeo Week opens western culture to an audience that doesn't always feel invited into it. Come be a part of Alberta's history.
