Cultivating Hope Summit
About the Event
How can regenerative ocean models turn environmental restoration into lasting economic and community value?
Join leading marine scientists, blue finance investors, policymakers, and coastal communities in Nazaré for the 2nd edition of the Cultivating Hope Summit. Building on the establishment of the Nazaré Regenerative Seaweed Farm, this summit brings together cross-sector leaders around a central question: Why does seaweed matter?
What You’ll Experience
A dynamic morning of keynote insights and interactive panel sessions exploring open-ocean seaweed cultivation, scalable blue finance mechanisms, and community-led coastal regeneration. Across three panels, we explore how farming the open sea can heal marine habitats while powering local, nature-positive economies:
Panel 1: Regenerative Seaweed: How Can Farming Help Restore the Ocean?
Panel 2: Blue Finance: How Do We Finance and Scale Regeneration?
Panel 3: Nazaré: The Blueprint for a Regenerative Coastal Economy
Lunch & Community Gathering
From 12:30 PM, join us for lunch, generously sponsored by the Municipality of Nazaré. An opportunity to connect with speakers, partners and fellow ocean advocates while continuing the conversations beyond the stage.
Participation & Donations
The Summit and lunch are free of charge and open to everyone.
To support the work of Hope Zones Foundation and the Nazaré Regenerative Seaweed Farm, we welcome a suggested donation of €20. Donations are entirely voluntary and help us continue our mission of ocean regeneration.
