Creating a Montessori-Inspired Home
Creating a Montessori-Inspired Home
with Nest member & Montessori educator, Jocelyn Snyder
What does Montessori actually look like in a real apartment?
How do you support independence without buying all new things?
What are “sensitive periods” — and do they matter more than milestones?
This will be a relaxed, interactive meetup — part mini-workshop, part conversation.
What We’ll Cover:
A brief introduction to Montessori philosophy
The core tenets and “Sensitive periods”
Simple best practices such as respect for the child and using real language
A guided virtual walk-through of key areas in Jocelyn’s home
We’ll also leave plenty of time for questions!
Montessori doesn’t have to be aesthetic, overwhelming, or expensive. This session is about making it accessible, practical, and supportive for real NYC families.
