Strategy & Power - Action Lab #4

​How do we turn electoral victories into lasting organizing power? How do we build campaigns capable of winning transformative change?

​Join Allison King (Metacrisis community member and Organizing Committee member of the NYC DSA Transit Working Group) for a hands-on Action Lab exploring the concepts of power and disruptive strategy from Practical Radicals by Deepak Bhargava and Stephanie Luce. Together, we'll apply these frameworks to NYC DSA's recent electoral victories and our emerging Fast & Free Bus campaign to identify where power lies, how it can be shifted, and what strategic actions can help us win.

​We'll analyze recent NYC DSA electoral victories as examples of power-building before applying those lessons to a live organizing effort: NYC DSA's Fast & Free Bus campaign, launching August 1. Together, we'll map power, identify strategic leverage points, evaluate disruptive tactics, and explore how electoral gains can be transformed into sustained organizing capacity capable of winning ambitious policy campaigns.

​This is an interactive workshop – offering an opportunity to apply strategic organizing concepts to a campaign that is happening now locally. Designed as a continuation of the salon, participants will work together to map power, analyze campaign strategy, and develop concrete organizing ideas for building a mass movement for fast, reliable, and fare-free public transit in New York City.

​Whether you're interested in movement strategy, electoral organizing, or transit justice, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of the campaign and concrete ways to get involved as the campaign launches on August 1.
