The Great American Weekender
The Great American Weekender is not a conference with a party attached. It is three distinct gatherings that share one atmosphere: American, mountain-west, intimate at the core, public only when it should be.
Delphica hosts. EXIT Group roots it in Utah. IM-1776 and Frontier Magazine give it ideas and a printed afterlife. The weekend moves the way a good American weekend should: arrive among friends, spend one night at full intensity, leave at altitude.
The poster already has the thesis. Stars. Wasatch. Type that looks like a 19th-century proclamation. Treat the three days as three rooms under that same sky.
A private cultural weekend in Salt Lake City that begins at a closed table, peaks as a salon-and-night, and ends with a resort brunch looking at the mountains.
Three events. One guest list logic. One visual language. Different scales.
Act I — Friday, November 13
The Closed Table
An intimate dinner with friends and special guests. This is the lock on the weekend. If Saturday is the public face, Friday is the family.
Purpose. Seat the people who make the rest of the weekend work. Special guests sit among friends, not on a dais. No panels. Toasts, not keynotes. By midnight everyone who matters already knows each other.
Act II — Saturday, November 14
The American Night
The main event. This is the Delphica salon at full size, the Delphica signature: cocktails, hors d’ ouvres, live band then DJ, art on the walls, people dressed beautifully.
Act III — Sunday, November 15
The Mountain Morning
The close. A resort brunch. This is how you turn a party into a weekender instead of a hangover.
Purpose. Soft landing. Daylight. The people who flew in get one last long table before the airport. No program except food, view, and unhurried talk.
