Mezcla Media Collective x OTV: Communal Listening Dinner

​Over the past several years, Open Television (OTV) and Mezcla Media Collective have partnered to advance equity and opportunity for women, non-binary, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC filmmakers. Together, we’ve co-hosted workshops, exhibitions, and community events that bridge gaps between artists, audiences, and industry.

​Our shared efforts have helped sustain Chicago as a vibrant center for independent storytelling, even amid rising costs, shrinking institutional support, and persistent inequities. As we continue to serve as anchors in this ecosystem, we recognize the urgent need to build infrastructure and shared strategy that can sustain and expand our collective impact.

​As a trusted community member, you have been cordially invited to our Communal Listening Dinner: an evening of good food, great conversation and community building at OTV Studio!

​The purpose of this Communal Listening Dinner is to gather real-time feedback from OTV and Mezcla community members, while activating the OTV Studio space. It is through your support that we can begin scenario modeling for shared space stewardship, revenue generation, and space management, as well as outline financial models and policies for space use, rentals, and programming.
