Qiskit Fall Fest 2026: Workshop Series
Qiskit Fall Fest 2026: Where Curious Minds Meet Quantum
Quantum is closer than it looks.
The UCSC ACM Student Chapter, in collaboration with IBM Quantum Computing, is proud to bring Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 to Sri Lanka an intensive, hybrid four-week journey designed to take students from the foundations of quantum computing to hands-on Qiskit programming and an exciting live coding sprint.
Learn. Build. Question. Compete.
The Quantum Learning Journey
The program features three progressive online evening sessions, designed to take participants from absolute beginner concepts to practical quantum programming.
1. Quantum 101: October 24, 2026
Start your quantum journey by exploring the fundamentals of quantum computing.
Learn about concepts such as superposition and build your intuition using the visual, drag-and-drop IBM Quantum Composer.
2. Quantum 102: October 31, 2026
Explore the ideas behind trustworthy and reliable quantum information processing.
Discover the fundamentals of quantum information, including quantum states, measurements, and channels, while exploring privacy, security, and the challenges of learning from noisy quantum systems.
3. Qiskit 101: November 7, 2026
Move from visual quantum circuits to your first lines of Qiskit Python code.
Learn essential single-qubit gates including Pauli-X, Pauli-Y, Pauli-Z, and Hadamard, and run your first coded quantum circuits using a simulator.
4. Qiskit 201: November 14, 2026
Take the next step into multi-qubit quantum computing.
Explore CNOT gates, entanglement, and Bell States, while solving template-based quantum puzzles designed to prepare you for the final challenge.
This workshop series is the first step in the Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 UCSC experience. Continue your journey with
Q-Extreme 2026 - November 22, 2026
The learning journey culminates in Q-Extreme 2026, an exciting in-person quantum computing experience designed to put your knowledge into practice.
