Private Parent Salon
Beyond the Acceptance Letter
How do we help the young in our families live fulfilling lives, when their first step out of home is university? A conversation for mothers of teenagers. Together we will explore how young people find purpose, confidence and direction before they leave home, and why the years between 16 and 18 matter so much.
Why: A strong university place and a fulfilling live are not the same thing
How: Helping teenagers discover what they care about, in their own voice
What: The experiences that build judgement, resilience, and a global outlook
When: Why 16 to 18 is the window, and how to begin this year
The sharing in the private parent salon will be given by a woman leader who is the Chair of the Yale International Alliance, as a Yale alumnus, and also a Stanford GSB alumnus.
