EOS for Searchers: A Playbook for Success
You closed the deal. Now what?
Many acquired businesses have been run from the founder's head. The first year after closing is when a new owner has to earn the team's trust, learn the business, and start building the systems that will let it grow. Many searchers use EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System) to do that, but the timing and approach matter a lot.
We've assembled a panel of Cincinnati-area EOS Implementers who have also been owner-operators:
John Herman, Expert EOS Implementer and former Co-Owner & CEO of one of Cincinnati's fastest-growing companies. He has implemented EOS for more than 80 companies.
Kevin Rains, Certified EOS Implementer and former CEO of his family's group of auto body shops. Using EOS, he grew the business from one location to seven, through both organic growth and acquisitions, before selling in 2021.
Mark Treas, Professional EOS Implementer, who took a business from concept to seven figures before becoming an Implementer.
Topics will include when to introduce EOS after a close (day one, or after you've earned some trust first), how to roll it out to a team that just got a new owner, how to handle a seller who is still around during the transition, and what an EOS-driven first year looks like in practice.
We will start in a large group, then break out into topic-specific EOS sessions focused on vision/traction, process/data, and issues/people.
Whether you're still searching, just closed, or are a few years in, join us for this "working lunch" conversation.
