About Event

When relationships become difficult, many people wonder: Is this just a rough patch? Can we repair this? Or is it time to let go?

Join Shaysa Villa, LCSW, for a conversation that explores what decades of relationship research tells us about how relationships change, why couples drift apart, and how people can make thoughtful, informed decisions when facing relationship uncertainty. This session offers evidence-based insights in a relaxed, discussion-friendly space.

Whether you're navigating your own relationship, supporting someone else, studying psychology, or simply interested in understanding relationships more deeply, we hope you'll join us for an afternoon of learning, conversation, and tea. 🫖

What to Expect:

Together, we'll explore topics including:

  • Why people choose to be in relationships, and why commitment changes over time

  • Common patterns that contribute to relationship deterioration

  • What "breakup discernment" means and why clarity is different from rushing a decision

  • Research-backed pathways couples commonly take when facing relationship uncertainty

  • Opportunities for reflection and open discussion in a supportive environment

Please note that this Tea Talk is not couples therapy or group therapy. It is a psychoeducational event designed to increase understanding and encourage thoughtful reflection.

What to Bring:

  • Curiosity and an open mind

  • Questions you'd like to discuss

  • A notebook if you'd like to jot down reflections or key takeaways

Cancellation Policy:
Because space is limited, we ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours before the event. Late cancellations and no-shows may not be eligible for refunds or ticket transfers. If you have questions or an emergency arises, please contact us directly and we’ll do our best to support you.
