UK’s CPTPP Chief Negotiator to Update Asia House Following 2026 CPTPP Ministerial Commission Meeting
Asia House will host Matthew Davies, Director of Asia-Pacific Trade Policy and CPTPP Senior Official in the UK, at a private roundtable on Wednesday, 2 December.
Mr Davies was the UK’s lead negotiator when the UK acceded to the CPTPP. He will update Asia House’s corporate network on the trade deal’s latest developments, including the progress towards accession of candidate countries including Indonesia, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates and the UK’s role in the process.
He will also explore UK bilateral engagement in Southeast Asia and potential new trade and digital agreements.
The briefing will be chaired by Chris McDade, Asia House Director of Commercial Partnerships.
