Custom AI Agents that turn Jira tickets into completed work
About the workshop
AI agents are moving beyond simple task tracking into real work completion. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how custom-built agents can improve task management by analyzing Jira tasks, taking action, and helping move work from “to do” to “done.”
We will build agents together step by step, at the same pace, with support throughout the workshop to help every participant complete each stage. Each participant will choose one agent to build based on a workflow or task type they want to automate.
Example agents participants may choose from include:
Style Guide Agent
An agent that understands your product’s UI patterns and helps ensure new work matches your existing interface, components, tone, and design standards.
Social Media Agent
An agent that generates social posts, launch updates, and campaign content in a voice that matches your brand’s vibe, audience, and communication style.
Development Workflow Agents
A Product Owner agent that writes the task and acceptance criteria, a Tech Lead agent that plans the implementation, a Developer agent that ships the code, a QA agent that tests against the acceptance criteria, and a Release agent that documents the work and hands it back to you.
This workshop will not use existing Jira agents. Instead, participants will create custom agents deployed remotely using the Claude Code SDK. A paid Claude Code subscription is required to take part.
Preparation materials will be sent before the workshop so participants can arrive ready to build.
Duration & format: 3h online
After this workshop, you will:
Understand how custom AI agents can improve task management by moving beyond tracking work to actually completing parts of the work.
Know how to design an agent around a specific Jira task, workflow, or recurring business need.
Have built and deployed one custom remote agent using the Claude Code SDK.
Understand how to give an agent the right context, instructions, and boundaries so it can work reliably.
Know how to connect agent behavior to real-world workflows such as UI consistency, content generation, development planning, QA, or release documentation.
Leave with a repeatable framework for building more agents after the workshop.
Be prepared to identify high-value tasks in your own Jira workflow that can be automated or accelerated with custom agents.
This workshop is ideal for:
Product builders, founders, and operators who want to automate recurring work from their Jira workflows.
Product managers who want to turn well-defined tasks and acceptance criteria into more automated delivery processes.
Pre-requisite:
Claude Code paid subscription
