Join WCS for a group volunteering experience at Project Angel Food, supporting medically tailored meals for people facing critical and life-threatening illnesses across LA County. Connect with fellow WCS community members while giving back to our neighbors this holiday season.
Project Angel Food nourishes the health and spirit of vulnerable people facing critical and life-threatening illness, by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals with love, care and dignity across LA County. This event is the perfect opportunity to kick off the Holiday Season by giving back to our fellow Angelenos. More information will be provided to registrants, and we will take a waitlist in case there are cancellations. Project Angel Food is depending on our groups’ efforts during this volunteer timeslot.
If you can’t attend, consider donating to Project Angel Food’s mission to deliver nutritional meals to over 3,000 people in LA County daily. Every $10 donated translates to a nutritious, life-saving meal for one of our seriously ill neighbors.
About Project Angel Food:
Project Angel Food nourishes the health and spirit of people facing critical and life-threatening illnesses by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals with love, care and dignity. Since 1989, Project Angel Food has provided more than 20 million meals to critically ill individuals across Los Angeles County. As a leader in the Food is Medicine movement, the organization tirelessly advocates for the national expansion of medically tailored meals, ensuring that everyone battling illness receives the nutrition that they need.
Currently, Project Angel Food serves more than 1.5 million medically tailored meals each year to 7,151 individuals. Each year, more than 3,446 volunteers dedicate 40,812 hours to Project Angel Food ensuring that no one faces illness alone.
