Speed Mentoring (Glasgow)
Join us for an interactive evening of Speed Mentoring, designed to connect early-career researchers with experienced entrepreneurs, operators, and ecosystem builders in a fast-paced, informal setting. Following two successful events since our inception, PRIMED returns with its third session bringing you closer than ever to the people who’ve navigated the journey from academia to impact.
Designed for PhD students and postdocs exploring entrepreneurship, this session will give you direct access to mentors across a range of startup experiences. The event will dive into how to evaluate and shape early-stage ideas, navigating the transition from academia to entrepreneurship, fundraising, building teams and early product decisions, common pitfalls and lessons learned from founders and operators, and how to build confidence and take the first step.
Attendees will be placed into small groups of 5–10 people and rotate between mentors every 15 minutes, with each session designed to be informal, discussion-led, and tailored to your questions giving you the opportunity to gain diverse perspectives in a short space of time.
Whether you're at the idea stage or simply curious about entrepreneurship, this format ensures you leave with actionable insights and meaningful connections.
Following the mentoring sessions, join us for a relaxed networking mixer with fellow researchers, mentors, and members of the wider innovation ecosystem.
Mentors to be announced shortly. Stay tuned!
Hosted by PRIMED at DRAM on the 30th of April.
