About Event

Camp DoomsDaddy

When disaster strikes, the people around you become the first responders.

The question is: will you know what to do?

Whether it's a wildfire, earthquake, power outage, road trip gone sideways, or simply wanting to be more capable in everyday life, Camp DoomsDaddy is designed to give you the practical skills and confidence to handle unexpected scenarios in our changing world.

This two-day immersive preparedness experience includes hands-on workshops, realistic scenarios, and learning alongside an incredible community. You'll leave with the confidence to handle emergencies instead of simply hoping they never happen.

We cover the skills that matter: wilderness first aid, wildfire preparedness, go-bags, vehicle readiness, emergency food and water, communication systems, and more.  Deliberately intimate, ridiculously hands-on, equal parts practical, empowering, and fun.

Alongside two full days of training, your ticket also includes three meals per day Saturday and Sunday, a personalized hazard report based on your home address, and a shopping list of field tested gear for a variety of emergency scenarios.

Join us at Green Valley Ranch, a beautiful venue nestled in the rolling hills of Sonoma County, where just 50 participants will spend two unforgettable days learning directly from disaster responders, wilderness medical professionals, and experienced field instructors.

Come for the skills, leave with confidence, new connections, and a whole new way of thinking about preparedness.

Adults-only 18+ event.

Get to know the program

⛑️ Medical: A cornerstone of the weekend is eight hours of small-group wilderness first aid training. You’ll treat wounds, splint fractures, and practice scenarios where the skills you learn actually stick. The training is specifically tailored to prepare you for a variety of challenging situations - from remote outdoor emergencies to post-disaster scenarios, and even includes what to do if you are tear gassed during civil unrest.

🔥 Everything Fire: Ever pulled a pin on a fire extinguisher? You will. You’ll learn home fire risks, how to reduce them, what smoke really does to your lungs, and how to protect yourself from fire and smoke risks.

🎒 Go-Bags: Are you prepared to run out the door after an evacuation notice? You’ll design, build and upgrade your own go-bag — from the obvious to the overlooked. Go-bags are not a shrink-wrapped one-size-fits-all necessity. This workshop will help you create a tailored go-bag that has exactly what you need.

🛜 Comms: When cell service fails, what do you do? We’ll learn about radios, group text trees, and backup systems that keep your people connected. We'll be covering the use of Starlinks, SatPhones, Satellite texting, Garmin InReach, and HAM & AM/FM radio.

🚘 Automotive: Disasters aren’t just rough on us, they’re also rough on our cars. Learn how to keep your vehicle ready in the face of breakdowns and bug-outs, including what tools to stash and what to do when the unexpected happens on the road. Your car can be your escape pod, but it can also derail you if you don’t know the basics of repair or how to navigate new hazards.

💧 Food & Water: This is about the tasty (and not-so-tasty) realities of emergency supplies. How much do you actually need? What do you keep in your go-bag vs. your reserve pantry? In this workshop, we’ll go over all things food + water, including how to store, when to rotate, and how to filter water for a variety of purposes. We'll also showcase products you can test before you buy.

By the end you’ll leave with new skills, new gear confidence, access to a directory of every product we demonstrate, an Amazon shopping list, personalized preparedness guides, and a community of people who’ve got your back.

Timing

Regular programming begins at 9am on Saturday, Oct 24 and concludes by 6pm on Sunday, Oct 25. You must arrive by 8AM on Saturday at the latest, but you can also arrive anytime after 3PM on Friday.

We’re also offering a optional add-on CPR/AED/Narcan training with Outerlands Medics & Rescue on Friday, Oct 23 from 6–8pm. This add on is $35 and introduces key lifesaving skills for a variety of common scenarios.

We’ll gather for s’mores around the campfire Friday evening.

Meals

Part of being prepared is knowing what kinds of foods to have on reserve and in your go-bag. In the spirit of learning, breakfasts and lunches will be made from these types of food. We'll be providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, and beverages throughout. Please bring your own meal for Friday evening.
