Beyond the Pink 1 | The Empowered Woman Helping to Direct Her Care
Sometimes the most important voice in your healthcare journey is your own.
When something doesn’t feel right, what does it mean to advocate for yourself? How do you keep asking questions when you’ve been reassured that everything is fine? And when might it be time to seek a second opinion?
In this 30-minute Beyond the Pink conversation, we’ll talk candidly about self-advocacy, trusting your instincts, asking better questions, seeking additional medical perspectives, and becoming an active participant in your own care.
Through lived experience and shared insight, we’ll explore how women can feel more confident speaking up for themselves, whether they are navigating breast health concerns, a diagnosis, treatment, or simply trying to make informed decisions about their health.
We’ll explore:
Listening when something doesn’t feel right
Asking questions and continuing to ask when you need clarity
Understanding when a second opinion may be valuable
Becoming a stronger advocate for your own health
What women who have been there wish they had known sooner
