Climate Emotions in the PNW
As you know, the climate crisis is bearing down hard on the global south; witnessing this and the daily news that affects us here in the US are right in front of us on our screens and in some cases, the air we breathe. If you are ready to unpack your suppressed feelings about this, then you found your community.
This is a peer-support, virtual gathering circle.
Everyone will have an opportunity to express their feelings about the climate crisis and the systems that are intertwined and affected by it. We do not give advice to one another, nor pass judgement. We only listen and resonate.
A safe space nothing you say will be shared anywhere else. We come together to unburden ourselves from the heaviness of the climate crisis. To acknowledge our feelings is to uncover, discover, and discard the negativity and pent-up feelings that may prevent meaningful engagement with our work and relationships.

Solastalgia is a zine on eco-anxiety and other emotions brought on by the effects of climate change. Paired with our zine will be a launch event. The zine will exist virtually, and we will print some copies for the featured artists, launch event participants, and ambassadors. The purpose of our project is to normalize eco-anxiety and the large spectrum of emotions that youth feel as a result of climate change. We aim to do this by providing a platform for open discussion through art from youth in the community using our zine.
At the conclusion, we will ask you to fill out a brief survey and we will email you further resources.
This Climate Emotions Circle will be hosted by a trained climate resilience facilitator, Drew A.
Please be sure to have a private and quiet space for this gathering with minimal distractions, camera-on is preferred to enhance feelings of safety and comfort to feel heard.
We meet every 5th day of the month. Keep coming back.
