Managing Conflict – Both Internal and External – With Internal Family Systems

​​The Office of Equal Opportunity and HLS Human Resources teams welcome staff members to an engaging new workshop led by mediator David Hoffman, the John H. Watson, Jr. Lecturer on Law. Prof. Hoffman will lead a discussion entitled “Managing Conflict – Both Internal and External – With IFS,” following and building on principles of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, a therapeutic approach that views the mind as compromising various “parts” led by a core “self.” The workshop will include experiential exercises that focus on conflict resolution and promoting mutual understanding, using the IFS model. This interactive workshop designed for HLS staff is intended to help build skills in conflict resolution that are relevant to our work and personal lives.
