Game Editorial Network Meetup @ GDC
Are you a working or aspiring editor, localizer, wordsmith, or other editorial professional in game dev? Would you like to meet other game editors? Are you going to be at (or near) GDC?
Then we'd love to see you at the first-ever Game Editorial Network Meetup!
We're a coalescing group of editors and friends who are looking to organize and make connections in the often unrecognized field of game editing. We're working toward the launch of the Game Editorial Network, a new networking group and discussion list for us to share knowledge, grow professionally, and advocate for the art and craft of editing for games.
To kick things off, we're gathering in person in San Francisco during the week of GDC for some coffee, chatting, and conspiring. Come join us!

About the Game Editorial Network
It doesn't quite exist—yet! But it's coming together, and this first in-person gathering at GDC is a big step along the way to making it happen.
What would you like to see from a new group for editorial professionals? How can we work together to help our careers, support one another, and advance the state of the art? Your voice and ideas are welcome!

About the host
Hi! I'm Jess Haskins, a game editor, narrative designer, and educator living in Brooklyn. I'm proprietor of The Game Editors, a boutique consulting, editorial, and voiceover production studio for games. I host the long-running monthly NYC Indie Games Social, and I've done a bunch of local community and event organizing, including a stint of five years as IGDA NYC chair.

After a decade of freelancing and trying to spread the good word about why games need editors, I realized that although I occasionally met other editors working in games, they often didn't describe themselves that way, and there wasn't really anywhere we could go to find each other. So I decided it was time to make that space. And here we are!
