​As per Ops Stories tradition, every now and then, we put our heads together to dive into a topic presented to us by one of our community members.

​The format is simple and informal - the host presents the topic and shares a couple of questions, we split into small groups (3-5 people), and then we discuss. At the end of the session, we bring our learnings together so we can share them with the wider community.

​This time, we’re doing something a little bit irregular. 👀

​Due to the increased interest and need for career-related advice as many folks are facing layoffs and searching for new opportunities, we recently hosted a panel with our Community Partner JBM, whose recruiters shared their perspectives with us on the job hunting process, including tips for your CV, interviews, and how to showcase your ops skills. 💪

​However, our community members have indicated that they would also love the chance to swap stories with fellow members who have recently gone through the process and found success, and would be willing to share how. Around the same time, I was approached by Kyle Thomas, Founder of UpEmployment, who volunteered to do exactly that - and so the idea for this roundtable was born. 💡

​ℹ️ So how does this work?

​We’d like to invite you to a lively discussion about how to find and get your dream ops role. 🚀

​First, Kyle will present the job hunting framework that helped him land first his job at a little company called Uber, then his role as VP Ops at Avo, which he now uses to coach other folks to land their tech ops roles. 🙌

​After that, we will split into smaller groups of 4-5 people, so you can discuss your current challenges and ask for advice. We would like each group facilitator to be someone who has recently started a new role and feels like helping someone else achieve this goal. 💜
