WorldPride Amsterdam 2026
WorldPride is a series of international LGBT+ pride events with this year's being in The Netherlands (Amsterdam).
It has long been on my list to attend a WorldPride and it would be amazing to go as a group.
The local organisation A-spec Nederland are arranging a series of events for a-spec people during the week. The schedule currently looks like:
30th July: We arrive
31st: Castle Fest. (This is a Renaissance Faire and a music festival featuring a mix of fantasy-oriented music, like Pagan Folk, Celtic music and Medieval Rock.)
1st August: Watch Canal Pride (This is a Pride boat parade through the Amsterdam canals)
2nd: The Pride conference. (This is a conference developed with input from activists and Pride organisers worldwide. Yasmin Benoit will be one of the speakers.)
3rd: To be decided. See activities below.
4th: To be decided. See activities below.
5th: To be decided. See activities below.
6th: To be decided. See activities below.
7th: To be decided. See activities below.
8th: Walking the World Pride March.
9th August: We leave
Other activities being considered during the free days this week but not confirmed yet are:
A fun and casual evening full of introduction activities like platonic speed dating, traditional Dutch games and some drinks.
An A-Spec conference. (This is a conference developed by A-spec Nederland and focuses on addressing the a-spec community.)
A day trip to the Efteling. (This is the biggest theme park in the Netherlands, with a focus on magical fairy tales.)
A scavenger hunt in Amsterdam.
A day trip to Artis. (This is the Amsterdam Zoo, the oldest one in the Netherlands. Artis also has a Planetarium, two museums and a botanical garden.)
A hike/walk.
Going to a museum (probably with a queer exhibition).

And let me know if you're interested in sharing accommodation to save on costs. We'll aim to get things booked around March to ensure there is enough time to arrange everything as I expect the city will be quite busy during this week.
