Pumping & Bottle Feeding 101: Confident Feeding for Your Newborn

Preparing to pump, bottle-feed, combo-feed, or return to work and want to feel more confident about how it all works?

Our Pumping & Bottle Feeding Class in Toronto is a practical, supportive session designed to help expecting and new parents understand pumping, milk storage, bottle feeding, formula supplementation, and how to build a feeding approach that works for their family.

Whether your baby will receive expressed breast milk, formula, or a combination of both, this class gives you practical tools to make feeding feel less overwhelming and more manageable.

This class is hosted by Boboto Care & The Nanny Grove.

What You’ll Learn

During this interactive class, we’ll cover:

  • How to choose and use a breast pump

  • Understanding flange sizing and comfortable pumping

  • When and how often to pump

  • Establishing and maintaining milk supply

  • Safely storing, freezing, thawing and warming expressed breast milk

  • Choosing bottles, nipples and feeding equipment

  • Paced bottle feeding and responsive feeding techniques

Who Should Attend

  • Expecting parents preparing before baby arrives

  • New parents beginning their pumping journey

  • Parents planning to exclusively pump

  • Breastfeeding parents wanting to introduce bottles

  • Families planning to combination-feed

  • Formula-feeding families

  • Parents preparing to return to work

  • Partners and support people who will help with feeds

  • Adoptive and foster parents

All feeding choices and family structures are welcome.

Why Take a Pumping & Bottle Feeding Class?

Feeding a newborn can involve a lot more than simply preparing a bottle.

Questions about milk supply, pumping schedules, bottle refusal, nipple flow, milk storage and formula preparation can quickly become overwhelming.

This hands-on class is designed to give you practical information before those questions arise, so you can approach feeding with greater confidence and flexibility.

You’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Ask your infant feeding questions in a supportive setting

  • Learn practical techniques you can use at home

  • Connect with other expecting and new parents

  • Explore different approaches to pumping and bottle feeding without judgement

  • Enjoy refreshments and snacks while learning in a welcoming environment
