About Event

Join the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation for an Entrepreneurship Lecture with Kwaku Jyamfi, CEO of Cyrtan Energy.

What does it take to build your vision and become the person who can achieve it?

Drawing on his entrepreneurial journey, Kwaku will reflect on taking leaps of faith without external validation, investing in himself and those around him, and why the growth along the way matters more than the destination.

Kwaku Jyamfi is CEO and Founder of Cyrtan Energy, focused on owner-led power infrastructure and continuous asset management for mission-critical electricity supply. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur with 9 years of commercial experience building renewable energy solutions. At Cyrtan, Kwaku has led teams to sign $24.9M in combined heat and power plant contracts while raising $3.1M+ in capital. His background spans chemical engineering and innovation management from Carnegie Mellon University, combined with hands-on experience in biofuel systems and emerging energy technology. He won first place in Chevron's machine learning hackathon at CMU, using AI to predict and reduce operational downtime with 98% accuracy. Kwaku combines engineering rigor with entrepreneurial execution to build dependable power infrastructure for hyper scalers and infrastructure investors.

Kwaku is a CMU Graduate with a Master’s in Civil Engineering and The ETIM Program and he was named a CMU "Tartan on the Rise" in the year 2022.
