Young talent starting out may feel torn between enjoying life now and building security for later, unsure whether they are already behind.
Those in the sandwich generation juggle childcare costs, ageing parents’ medical bills and their own retirement savings, often while questioning what success should look like in their 30s and 40s.
Pre-retirees may wonder whether they have truly saved enough, and what will give the years ahead meaning.
This workshop by was created with all three of them in mind. It offers a calm, judgement-free space to explore FIRE (Financially Independent Retire Early) not as a race to stop working, but as a way to gain the freedom to choose how one lives, works and gives.
Why This Workshop
FIRE is often reduced to spreadsheets and savings rates. At TKS Transformation Coaching, it is seen differently: as an enabler of a life aligned with one’s values, identity and envisioned future. Participants will leave with a clearer picture of what financial independence could look like for them, and a gentle first step towards getting there.

1. The concepts of FIRE, made simple. What financial independence really means, the common FIRE approaches, and the myths that often hold people back.
2. FIRE and lifestyle choices. How a person’s values and envisioned life shape their “lifestyle cost blueprint”, and why the right number is a personal one.
3. Real-life case studies across three life stages. Illustrative journeys showing how FIRE principles apply differently for each of them (see below).
4. The first nudge towards a FIRE plan. A simple reflection and starter framework that attendees can take home and build into a comprehensive plan.
Three Life Stages, Three Stories
Young Talent · A 27-year-old early in her career wants meaningful work and the option to take a sabbatical one day. Her story shows how early habits and clarity of values can create real choices within a decade.
Mid-Career · A 42-year-old manager supporting young children and ageing parents feels “too busy to plan”. His story shows how realigning priorities can turn pressure into purpose.
Pre-Retiree · A 57-year-old professional is unsure whether she has “enough”. Her story shows how defining the life she actually wants brings peace of mind and a confident transition into her next chapter.

About the Host
Tung Kum Seng brings over 35 years of senior finance leadership. Prior to transitioning to a FIRE lifestyle himself, he was CFO APAC at a global MNC. He now runs his own coaching practice (TKS Transformation Coaching) as an ICF certified coach, sharing his personal experience and coaching perspective on aligning success with who you are, what you value, and the stage of life you're at. Through coaching and mentoring, Kum Seng has guided individuals at every career stage to connect their values with their financial future.
