Intro to Winter Hiking Workshop - Central Vermont

This event is free to attend, with optional donations welcomed.

Are you curious about winter hiking? Do you love learning more ways to enjoy the outdoors safely year round? Join us for an informative, fun workshop on winter hiking. We'll cover essential gear, layering, traction and snowshoes, hydration and snacking, safe day trip planning, weather considerations, Leave No Trace principles, and more. Workshop will be a mix of information sharing and hands-on gear "show and tell". Optional hang out afterwards in the City of Barre.

We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them.
