The Wild Gentleman Book Club - Meeting #6 - Frankenstein
The Wild Gentleman Book Club - January
Happy New Year!
For our first meeting of 2026, The Wild Gentleman Book Club will be returning to Paddy's in Newton.
Below are the specifics for the next meeting of The Wild Gentleman Book Club. Each month, our community of thoughtful men has been growing, exploring literature, wisdom, and what it means to live with purpose. These in-person meetings are an essential element of The Wild Gentleman, and, thus far, have evolved into thought-provoking and meaningful conversations.
The idea behind The Wild Gentleman is to bring men together, meet, and engage in conversations about complex ideas through great books (and some not-so-complex ones as well). Our first few meetings have created an opportunity to dive deeper into character, relationships, and growth.
The book for January is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. We will be discussing this book at our January meetup.
We'll hoist a beer, a non-alcoholic drink, or a Diet Coke and share good company.
What to expect:
Thoughtful discussion about our current book selection
Connection with like-minded men seeking wisdom and community
An environment that values questions over answers
Good conversation over good food and drinks
As past attendees have shared:
"We’re starved for connection and meaning because we spend our time in the shallows. The Wild Gentlemen invites us to go deeper at times, with people looking to do the same.
"It starts with the books ... and ends at a table of thoughtful men, sharing their own stories and ideas."
"Very much not performative. Nobody's trying to impress anyone."
The Wild Gentleman explores thoughtful masculinity through four core values: Love, Adventure, Wisdom, and Community. Our book club embodies all four—the adventure of tackling challenging literature, the wisdom found in great stories, the love required for vulnerable conversation, and the community we build together.
Location: Paddy's in Newton
