На 31 август от 14:00 ви каним на Реките на София (Южен парк, зона „Работилници“, щанд ЗаВръщане в България) за Кръг на свързване (Connection Circle) на тема бъдещето на образованието.
Това не е лекция, а открит и равнопоставен разговор, в който учители, родители, ученици и училищни лидери могат да споделят опит, предизвикателства и идеи. Заедно ще търсим:
Какво работи добре в нашата образователна система
Най-големите предизвикателства пред учители, ученици и родители
Възможности да градим по-добро бъдеще заедно
Защо да се включиш?
Ще чуеш реални истории и гледни точки от класната стая и отвъд
Ще имаш възможност да споделиш своя опит
Ще срещнеш съмишленици, които вярват в промяната
Водещ:
Мариана Кастаньон, директор на Maple Bear Sofia. Родена в България, на 16 заминава за САЩ и изгражда над 20-годишна кариера като учител, ментор, университетски преподавател и училищен лидер.
Работила е на всички нива от детска градина до университет, а днес завършва докторска степен по образование.
Завръщането ѝ в България е дълбоко лично и професионално значимо тя работи за изграждането на подкрепяща и вдъхновяваща среда за учениците тук.

On August 31 at 14:00, as part of Rivers of Sofia, we invite you to join a Connection Circle – an open and equal conversation about what works in our education system and what needs to change.
We’ll talk about:
• The strengths of the system today
• The challenges faced by teachers, students, and parents
• How we can build a better future together
This won’t be a lecture, but a dialogue where everyone can share experiences, stories, and ideas. The goal is to shape a vision for change, grounded both in realism and optimism.
This event is for you if:
• You believe education is the key to Bulgaria’s development
• You want to hear and share real stories from the classroom and beyond
• You are looking for like-minded people committed to positive change
• You’re a teacher, parent, student, or engaged citizen

Facilitator:
Mariana Castañon, Director of Maple Bear Sofia, with 20+ years of experience in education in the U.S. – teacher, mentor, university lecturer, and school leader. Today she is back in Bulgaria, working to build a supportive and inspiring environment for students.
Mariana believes in a student-centered approach and combines bilingual, project-based, and inquiry-based learning to foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children. Her return to Bulgaria is both personally and professionally significant, as she works to create the kind of environment students here deserve.

Our aim is to encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas, raise awareness on key issues, and include diverse perspectives and voices. We want to create the conditions for meaningful conversation that enriches our community.
