About Event

Welcome.

This workshop exists to give us mere mortals a chance to practice setting boundaries so we can succeed in real life, like when your dad calls you (an AFAB NB) “girl” or when devout Uncle Tim offers to pray with you (an ex-religioso).

Cory, your mindfulness/boundaries coach, will set you up to notice your own body, speak from a grounded place, and say what you actually want to say – not too weak, not too harsh: boundaries that are firm, clear and kind.

In this workshop, we don’t just talk about it: we DO it. We run scenarios. We play. We try things. We gain skills. We build capacity. Together.

Here’s what folks have said:

  • "amazing, amazing workshop. It gave me so much food for thought and self-reflection. Thank you for holding that space. I felt a lot of growth, for days afterward."

  • “Cory’s [workshops are] building a kinder, more connected, and better regulated world.”

You will leave

  • with simple, remarkable tools that you can use anytime, anywhere.

  • with greater confidence & self-trust

  • connected to cool humans

This inclusive workshop is run by Cory Lobbezoo of Mindful Adulting, in collaboration with Stardust Community Co-operative, held at Energy Awaken. It is particularly relevant for folks who are neurospicy, queer, and/or ex-religious or religio-questioning.

  • WORKSHOP PRINCIPLES

    • You can grow from wherever you are now.

    • You can’t talk your way into empowerment: you need practice.

    • Navigating interpersonal conflict without panicking is an emotional intelligence skill that grows best in low-stakes settings like this.

    • We need to build resilience communally, not just individually.
