From alignment to agreement: stakeholder management for product makers
About the workshop:
In a world where technology evolves faster than our roadmaps, relationships still decide outcomes. Yet one thing remains timeless: trust and clarity between people.
In this workshop, we will explore stakeholder management as both a structured discipline (who matters, why, and how to engage them) and a human craft (influence, listening, and negotiation).
You’ll learn how to identify and prioritise stakeholders, understand what they value, and translate competing constraints into shared outcomes. We’ll also focus on practical behaviours that can transform difficult conversations: validating expectations, finding common ground, listening actively, setting explicit communication agreements, and using simple governance to turn requests into decisions.
Duration & format:
Duration: 5h, in-person workshop (lunch break included)
Location: Hosted by ING Hubs Romania (please bring your ID card for building access)
Format: Short theory inputs + practical exercises, group work, and role-play simulation
Language: Romanian
After this workshop, you will:
Have a complete stakeholder map for your product, already identified, prioritised, and validated
Have a ready‑to‑use stakeholder communication & engagement plan, not just a framework
Gain hands‑on experience negotiating with difficult stakeholders, using proven techniques you can confidently reuse in real product decisions
This workshop is ideal for:
Junior to mid‑level product makers (product, design/UX, delivery, engineering)
Product makers having hands-on experience working with multiple stakeholders (e.g., business, IT, risk/compliance, customers, leadership), rather than learning stakeholder management purely in theory
Anyone in a product role who wants to level up their stakeholder management and negotiation skills through hands‑on practice
Pre-requisite:
While formal negotiation training is not required, participants should come prepared with real-world context and a willingness to practise
Be willing to share real situations from your work and discuss challenges openly during exercises and role-plays
Come with curiosity and an open mind, rather than expecting a “one-size-fits-all” framework for stakeholders challenges
