​if you grew up being the responsible one (the one your siblings looked up to, the one your parents asked to set the table, the one nobody actually sat down), then this one is for you.

​we're hosting a small, intentional gathering for eldest daughters in san francisco. the kind of evening where we get to be the ones being looked after for a change.

​what to expect:

• ​a small group (around 20)

• ​light food and drink

• ​a short conversation, led by anna, on what it means to be the eldest daughter and why we so often go without a guide

• ​the elder sister hour. in the weeks leading up, we're collecting advice from older sisters — actual older sisters, older friends, women's older mentors — about the stuff nobody warned us about. we'll read it out loud. some of it will be wise. some of it will be unhinged. all of it will be the kind of thing your older sister would have told you if you'd had one.

• ​the bowl. anonymous prompts like "worst time you got your period," "most awkward sex story" "the date you should have left an hour earlier" — written down, dropped in a bowl, read aloud. it's not too serious and we all deserve a silly lil giggle.

​what this is not:

• ​a girlboss networking thing

• ​a launch event

• ​a workshop

• ​an "experience" you'll be asked to post about

​no selling. no pitch. no "empowerment." we're all already empowered. that's kinda why we're here...

​it's just the kind of thing your older sister would have brought you to.
