Revolut People x Wave1: AI Lab for People Leaders - London
Wave1 × Revolut People
A curated cohort of People leaders from high-growth companies, together for one day to accelerate AI fluency. You build in the morning. You decide what it means for your function in the afternoon.
Why we're running this
You're being asked to show efficiency gains from AI, and to raise AI fluency across the organisation. Meanwhile People Ops still runs on repetitive manual steps, and the data is sensitive enough that you can't just move fast and see what happens.
This day is built for that position. The morning gives you hands-on confidence and shows you what's now possible — you'll leave both a more technical, AI-fluent IC and a better-informed leader. The afternoon deals with everything that arrives the moment you try it at scale.
We'll draw on what has and hasn't worked inside companies including Revolut, Bolt, Wise and Neko Health, including the parts that were harder than expected.
BEFORE - You'll schedule an individual 15 min alignment session with our team to share your baseline and maximise ROI.
INTRO
People Ops in the Age of AI
Hosts:
Siim Sutrop — Leadership Trainer, People Partner & Digital HR Lead; former Head of Learning & Development, Bolt
Andy Turnbull — Managing Partner, Wave1; former Head of People Operations & Technology, Bolt
MORNING - Building
Hands on from the start, with a prepared case study and a proper data-set.
1. Working in Claude
Host: Hugh Clarke — People AI Lead, Neko Health, ex-Wise
Turn Claude into a force multiplier for your existing tech stack by integrating intelligent workflows directly into the tools you use daily. Move from spending hours aggregating data to extracting instant, executive-ready insights. You work on real People use cases and get hands-on yourself.
2. Automating with Make
Host: Steve White — Solution Architect & HCM Optimisation Lead, Wave1
You take what you built and turn it into a workflow that runs without you. The worked example is an automated recruitment workflow, and the pattern transfers to all of the most repetitive People Ops processes. You keep what you build and easily implement it when you're back at work.
AFTERNOON - Thinking
3. Personal AI fluency Workshop
Host: Siim Sutrop
In this workshop we'll focus on sharing lived experiences, what AI fluency in People leadership actually means: an honest read on where you sit today, and the specific steps that move you forward.
4. Applied AI across People Teams
Host: Andy Turnbull
The questions that arrive the moment you try this at scale. What foundations you need first, whether your data is good enough, build or buy software, in-house or outsourced, where guardrails sit and who owns them, and where to start. We work through how we can go about tackling these big issues in a structured way.
5. Building high-performing teams with AI
Host: Andrei Oprisor — GM, Revolut People
The science of building high-performing teams, and how to use AI to ensure strategic goal alignment and run objective, evidence-based performance reviews. Drawing on the framework behind Revolut People, we will discuss how leveraging purpose-built HR software helps managers effectively align their workforce with top-line business priorities and eliminate bias.

You feel the urgency, but you're mindful that People data needs firm guardrails, high data quality and solid architectural foundations
You want to keep pace with industry peers, and would value a community to share ideas with
