Rethinking 'High Performance'
Luma Copy
At a recent Chief People Officer breakfast our speaker Julia asked the leaders sitting around the table ‘Is it time to re-brand high performance?’ Every Founder wants to build a ‘high-performance organisation’, but what does this actually mean in 2024? And isn’t this an expression that feels a bit reductionist and (quite frankly) a bit 1980s?
In recent years we’ve seen a dramatic swing from a focus on wellbeing and fears around ‘the great resignation’ to a hyper-focus on profitability, rounds of layoffs, and calls back to the office - much of which is driving this focus on performance and results.
But can’t we be compassionate and commercial? Can’t we focus on results and people?
In this virtual panel discussion Elevayte will be joined by Julia Ingall - Chief People Officer at Many Pets and seasoned People Executive. We are going to get into this nuanced debate to explore how we should rethink and maybe even re-brand high performance.
We'll explore:
High performance in context - where it’s come from and where it’s going
How we can move to a world of ‘and’ - compassion and commerciality; results and people
Practical advice for the C Suite and Chief People Officers when positioning and implementing a ‘high performance culture’
Come and join us for a fascinating conversation and a chance to connect with other senior People leaders in ScaleUps.
