The Physical Layer: Fireside with Eamonn from Vexev

​The Physical Layer is a hardware and frontier event series by Blackbird.

​This is an important moment to be working on hard physical problems, and we want more students, grads, and early-mid career engineers taking a bet on themselves and starting companies around ambitious problems.

​We're bringing together engineers for a fireside with Eamonn Colley from Vexev. While doing his PhD at UNSW, Eamonn and his co-founder John found a way to catch vascular disease years earlier than doctors currently can - and turned it into Vexev, a robot that can perform a vascular ultrasound without a specialist in the room.
