Literacy Workshop (with Phonics Training) for Parents by Debbie Kung
TLDR: Equip yourself with skills to enrich your children's literacy journey. 2 part workshop: 1 E-learning, 1 In-person.
Join our interactive parent workshop designed to support your child’s early literacy journey through practical, hands-on phonics strategies. Drawing on approaches similar to Jolly Phonics, the workshop introduces parents to letter sounds, blends, digraphs, and the different stages of literacy development in a clear and engaging way.
Through this workshop, you will:
1. Gain a better understanding of how children learn to read, 2. Learn how to identify their child’s current literacy stage, 3. Pick up simple techniques to reinforce learning confidently at home.
Whether your child is just beginning to recognise sounds or starting to blend words independently, this workshop equips you with practical tools to make reading development both meaningful and enjoyable.
This two-part workshop includes an e-learning component followed by an in-person session.
E-learning begins: 4th July 2026, Saturday
In-person workshop: 11th July 2026, Saturday
Location: TBC
Fee: $150
This workshop is led by Debbie Kung.
