Catalyst Fundraising Cohort | Week 1: Fundraising 101 (The Taxonomy of Capital)
The Catalyst Fundraising Cohort is a hands on fundraising intensive for founders who are actively raising. Four weeks, the core pillars of the raise, one room of operators building alongside you.
Week 1 is Fundraising 101, the Taxonomy of Capital. Map the landscape before you spend a single hour on outreach. We break down VC, PE, Angel, and Syndicates, the economics behind each, and exactly which capital providers fit your stage.
Lecture: the taxonomy of capital and who actually holds the money you need. Workshop: CRM setup and your first lead generation strategy. Peer audit: aggressive filtering of your target investor list.
Work product rule: bring your laptop and your homework. If you arrive without it, you can observe but you cannot join the peer audit. Accountability is the point.
The Wilson, New York. 12:00 to 3:00 PM. Part of the full Catalyst Fundraising Cohort, four Mondays in August, culminating in the Showcase on Monday, August 31.
