See you Sunday — Career Connect Meetup at MITFAR Café
Hi,
We can't wait to see you this Sunday from 12:45 AM to 2:45 PM at MITFAR Boutique Café (1098 Yonge St, near Rosedale Station).
A few important things to know before the event:
Please arrive on time — the schedule is tight and we'll start and finish exactly on time, so plan ahead for parking and transit.
As soon as you arrive:
Head to the counter and buy a drink or sweet from MITFAR — they're generously hosting us, and the café will still be open to regular customers. We're not renting the whole space, so let's show our appreciation by supporting them.
Find a seat and settle in.
Write your full name (first + last, in English) on a name sticker at the entrance and stick it on your shirt — this helps everyone recognize each other and connect on LinkedIn afterward.
Agenda:
12:45–1:15 — Arrival, coffee, settling in
1:15–1:30 — Mentor introductions (2–3 min each): their background, journey, first job, key skills, and how they can help.
1:30–2:30 — Small group conversations. Walk around, meet different people, ask questions, share your story.
2:30–2:45 — Group photo 📸 and wrap-up
For job seekers:
Bring a printed copy of your most up-to-date resume so our mentors can give you specific feedback.
Try to connect with as many people as you can — that's the whole point!
If you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
See you Sunday!
