By Design: A Series on Faith & Estate Planning
Session 1: The Legacy I Leave
Before we talk about wills, trusts, and inheritance, we begin with the why: exploring faith, purpose, and the impact we hope to leave behind as Muslim women.
Every one of us is already creating a legacy — the question is whether we're shaping it intentionally. Join estate planning attorney Saba A. Khwaja, founder of Khwaja Law PLLC, for the first session in a 4-part series exploring how Islamic values and thoughtful planning come together to protect what matters most.
In this session, we'll explore:
The Quranic perspective on what we truly leave behind — wealth, children, and knowledge
Stories of legacy from Khadija (RA), Aisha (RA), and Fatima al-Fihri
An interactive Legacy Mapping exercise to start defining your own
This is Session 1 of 4. Future sessions will cover the Family Constitution, Will & Trust, and Financial Power of Attorney/Medical Directive — each building toward a complete, faith-aligned estate plan.
Come to reflect. Leave with clarity on what you want to build.
