Out of the Box: How to be more of yourself at work
Have you found yourself feeling like work crosses too many of your boundaries? Like you must censor yourself too much to fit in what is expected of you? Like if you were honest about your ideas and feelings you would be judged and excluded?
Most of us have experienced that, like there is a box within which we simply must fit to be employable and stepping outside of that box will put us in danger. However, most of us also know deeply how hurtful that situation is to be in, especially over extended periods of time.
When we show up as our full selves, we are engaging in a radical act of self-care and we are also changing the systems we are in. It's time to explore what's out of the box.
In this event we will address our existing narratives about work and look at both personal career stories and natural ecosystems for inspiration of how to go beyond the systems that hurt us. We will also co-develop the tools that can support you to show up as more of yourself in your work, whether you are student just starting out or a seasoned professional.
