The Autumnal Equinox marks the balance point of the year β€” a moment of equal light and dark, of harvest, and of turning inward as the season shifts toward rest. Join us for a two-hour, trauma-informed mini retreat in the Skyline sanctuary: an afternoon of grounded yoga, somatic healing, sound, and contemplative rest.

Together we’ll move, breathe, and listen for what this season of light is asking of us now β€” in our bodies, our relationships, and our wider world. Whether you register ahead or simply come to the door, you are warmly welcome.

Diana Bitting Danford is a somatic practitioner, trauma researcher, and certified yoga teacher β€” as well as cofounder of KΕ«r Health (kur-health.com), a trauma-responsive holistic recovery platform. Her practice is grounded in polyvagal theory, TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises), and the neuroscience of the mind-body connection.

Laurie Manning holds advanced degrees from Harvard (Human Development & Psychology), the University of Michigan (MBA), and Columbia/Union Theological Seminary. She has spent 25+ years accompanying people through grief, burnout, and major life transitions β€” as an interfaith chaplain, executive consultant, and community minister. Her work is for people who respect science and still care about meaning. (slide-deck-design--revlauriemannin.replit.app/personal-v2)

Rondy Isaac (https://chocolatebuddhayoga.com) is a yoga teacher, community wellness advocate, and founder of Chocolate Buddha Yoga and the BIPOC Barbershop Yoga movement, dedicated to making mindfulness, movement, and healing practices accessible to communities that have historically been left out of traditional wellness spaces. Through classes, workshops, and community partnerships, he brings yoga, meditation, and culturally grounded wellness experiences into everyday environments like barbershops, creating welcoming spaces for connection, stress relief, and personal growth. His work blends physical practice with community building, helping people cultivate strength, balance, and mental wellbeing while expanding access to holistic health.
